Abstract
‘Why You Like This’ takes readers on a journey through a decade’s worth of artist Angie Pai's creative pursuits, featuring 11 written responses from significant influences of the artist, memorabilia from the Pai Family Archive dating back to the 1930s, and highlights notable collaborations over the years.
"My practice has undergone many changes — the most notable shift is the intentionality I now hold in my approach to creating. I once feared that studying psychology would lead me to a crossroads where I would have to choose between art and psychology. I have since realised that these paths intertwine in unexpected ways and nurture each other. This book reflects these journeys, overlaps and intersections of my practice — we hope it will be an intimate offering to anyone who chooses to peruse its pages." — Pai (2023)
